These Adidas Sneakers Look Like Snakeskin Loafers

The latest covetable sneaker from Adidas Skateboarding is almost here. Like many of the brand's other certifiably stylish skate shoes, the Three Stripes has turned to its own roster yet again. This time, it's Jason Dill, the one-of-one skater who is known for his distinctive style both on and off the board. And in classic Dill form, this sneaker definitely won't fade into the background.

Dill is known for his eccentric personal style, one populated by luxury loafers, colorful cardigans, and high-cropped pants. He's also a fan of the Adidas Samba: This is the skater's second time redesigning the revered shoe. While the overall design stays true to the classic silhouette, the upper has been decked out in Italian leather snakeskin as a nod to Dill's love of flashy dress shoes. But don't let the glossy look fool you-these kicks are fully skateable. There is a cushioned sock liner, sturdy nylon laces, and a rugged rubber outsole. Adidas and Dill have also streamlined the overall silhouette with a lower profile for a more dressed-up look. (No ultra-puffy skate sneakers here.)

A loafer-inspired skate sneaker isn't going to be for everyone, but Adidas Skateboarding is okay with that. Time and time again, the brand is leaning into the personality of its skaters. The Three Stripes just isn't slapping a name on a shoebox; instead it's wholly embracing a skater's quirks and eccentricities. You'd be hard-pressed to find someone with a more self-assured sense of style than Jason Dill. Luckily, everyone can now get some of that swagger by merely picking up a pair of these Sambas.

$90, available March 14 via select Adidas Skateboarding retailers.
